MY STORY
As someone who has faced immense challenges balancing my professional career, my personal life, and my academic responsibilities during law school, I understand firsthand the impact these can have on one’s trajectory. I was at a point where I was prepared to give up and withdraw from the dream I’d worked so hard for when a compassionate professor intervened, offering guidance, encouragement, and a lifeline when I needed it most.
My professor’s mentorship not only prevented me from giving up on my aspirations, but it also provided me with a tangible opportunity to excel. By hiring me as her research assistant, she gave me an opportunity to improve my grades, and, in turn, it provided me with the invaluable experience I needed to boost my resume and open doors for future career endeavors. Her belief in me, paired with her willingness to support my dreams through a challenging time in my life had a profound impact on my legal journey.
This is why I am committed to building a transformative platform where aspiring lawyers find the mentorship they require. CounselHer isn’t just a program- it’s a life vest for those navigating the rough waters of law school and beyond.
I’ve experienced the impact of having a guiding hand during my hardships, and as a result, I remain rooted in my commitment to paying it forward. By connecting aspiring lawyers with the mentors who truly understand their struggles, we empower them to overcome life’s obstacles, realize their aspirations, and become unstoppable forces in the legal world.
